It's my birthday, It's my birthday ...FREEBIE!!

I have a 4 GREAT reasons to celebrate.
  1. I'm so excited that my little blog has 100 followers. Thank you all for your kind words, comments and support.  This is such a wonderful experience with so many amazing people willing and ready to share and collaborate in the name of kiddos.  I have been so inspired by so many of you.  I only hope that I could give back in some way.
  2. The second reason is tomorrow is my birthday. A lady never tells her age but I'm going with stuck on 30ish.  (Check out the freebie below...)
  3. The third reason is I actually got to sneak some stuff into my room (that is if you call sneaking - being spotted by your principal in your room when nobody's supposed to be there-OOPS!)  I truly hope she doesn't hold it against me - I am a TEACHAHOLIC.
  4. The fourth reason is I finally finished my first unit to go into my TPT store.  I took  the advice of Farley at Oh Boy Fourth Grade and decided to create something that was true to me.  According to CSCOPE (Texas' version of the Core Curriculum) one of our first genres is traditional literature, more specifically fables. I created a mini-unit that I'll be using this year with seven different activities including a craftivity.
I'm  working on a giveaway to celebrate all that makes me giddy (4 reasons listed above).  Calling  All bloggers - I am in desperate need of ideas about what I could do to put together my 100 follower giveaway. I would so appreciate advice, ideas, and donations.  I really don't have a clue how to do this or how to do a rafflecopter?

Anywhoo- since it is my birthday tomorrow I am going to let the first 30ish people to comment on my blog download my unit for free.  The only catch is that I would greatly appreciate feedback about the unit. Please be sure to leave an email address if your email address isn't on your profile.

Thanks Ya'll

  11. Happy Birthday AND 100 followers! I think I might be your newest follower...discovered your blog today! I have a lot of Kindergarteners come to school not having heard fables, nursery rhymes and fairy tales. I think it's great to introduce them with your activities.

  13. I can relate about getting caught by your principal! I told mine I was there to "meet" with my team while I was actually sneaking stuff in my room! This unit looks great so far! For me fables are a tricky topic :)

  23. Happy, happy birthday. Fables and core curriculum are exactly what I am working on now. We here in New York have about 4 weeks left until the cherubs show up so now is a good time to create some new units around the core curriculum.

I would love to look at yours and I will send you my first one once I get it made up.
