I have been reading some really great blogs this week. I was very interested in teacher blogging do's and don'ts on the TeacherWife Blog. I know I really shouldn't post more than once a day but I couldn't help it :)
Here's another tip that I promised I would post. I needed to make sure that I do Brain Breaks with my students so that I could make the most of their short attention spans. I've seen teachers use brain break sticks and was inspired to make cards on a ring that I could carry with me or place near my elmo. While I was at it I started working on sight word chants also. I saw the same idea online with popscicle sticks in a can. I can't wait to do these and other interactive word wall activities! Click on the pictures below for the activity cards.
These are so cute!

ReplyDeleteLove love love the cheers! Can't wait to use these with my new Kinder class!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for supplying these downloads. One issue I am having is that the directions for the cheers will not print, just a larger size of the NAME of the cheer. Can you help?
ReplyDeleteOoops! I didn't think to put any directions with the cheers. I printed them on card stock and laminated them. Then, I cut them apart and punched a hole in the top left corner of each card. Next, I used metal ring to attach all the cards. When I finished, I let students flip through the ring of cheers to select one to teach to the rest of the class or use a cheer we already knew to recognize a peer.
DeleteThanks for sharing these awesome cards! I'm so glad I found your blog on Pinterest! I'm a follower now!

Krazy About Kiddos
Love, Love, Love, the classroom cheers and brain break rings. I was so in love that I wanted to print them as soon as I saw them; however when I print it only shows the title of the cheer and then a black line. THe rest of the cheer does not show up =( Is there anything I can do to fix this or by any chance could you e-mail it to me at Torie4214@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
If you're using a mac, make sure you open the file instead of looking at it in preview. See my post HERE for more info. Leave me a comment if it works....Enjoy :0)
